SAN JUAN City, Dec. 19, 2013—Emphasizing on the true message of Christmas, a youth group has launched an original Christmas Music Television Video (MTV) featuring a simple family who finds happiness in sharing their blessings to other people, as well as in dining and praying together as a family.
Kadang Dominiko, the parish youth ministry of Santuario del Sto. Cristo in San Juan, launched the Christmas music video last December 15, before the start of the 9:00 p.m. Simbang Gabi mass.
Based on the song “Sa Pagsapit ng Pasko,” an original composition of Ronald Francisco with lyrics by Marlon Antolin, Monica Francia, Ronald Francisco, John Paul Vicencio and Hans Flojemon, the video also features footages of the clergy from the Dominican Province of the Holy Rosary and the parish community.
“The group had this idea to share the message that in spite of what is happening in our country, there is still Christmas,” said Marlon Antolin, youth leader of Kadang Dominiko.
The youth in the parish hopes that this video will bring back the smiles of the people in the midst of all the calamities that have devastated the country.
It is currently being played before the start of all Simbang Gabi masses and will be part of the mass media playlist of the parish until the Feast of Epiphany on January 5, 2014.
The music video is also a featured video in the nightly variety show at the Tanghalang Bayan (San Juan City Parking Plaza). (Jandel Posion)
