ROME, Feb. 13, 2011—The Pontificio Collegio Filipino welcomed the second batch of bishops from the Visayas region who arrived in Rome on February 7 for their ad limina visit.
While in Rome, the bishops will be visiting the different Dicasteries at the Vatican, and will have a personal audience with Pope Benedict XVI.
They will also have the chance to celebrate Holy Mass at the four Major Basilicas of San Pietro, Santa Maria Maggiore, San Paolo Basilica and Basilica Laterano.
On their day off, the bishops will take a pilgrimage to Padre Pio Shrine, Pompeii and Monte Cassino.
Back in PCF, the bishops, priests, and guests, participate in personal prayer and communal vespers and rosary at PCF crypta together with the resident priests and nuns.
The bishops are staying at the Collegio in the duration of ad limina visit which ends on February 19.
The ‘ad limina’ visit is an opportune time for the bishops of the Philippines to visit the Pope and to renew their commitment to shepherd the Faithful in our local Church in the Philippines. (Garret Alfonso Ulanimo)
