MANILA, Jan. 19, 2016 – What does it mean to have a Church that embraces all, an “inclusive Church”?
Priest and social psychologist Fr. Diarmuid Murchu will explore the implications of an inclusive Church in a workshop/seminar titled “The Missionary Call to an Inclusive Church” on Jan. 30, 7.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bulwagan Claret, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish (IHMP), Mahinhin corner Mayumi Sts., UP Village, Diliman, Quezon City.
“This inclusive approach is not some new popular idea. It is rooted in the message of the Gospels themselves … Not merely, therefore, are we dealing with a new way of understanding Church; the greater challenge we face is to become a Christian people willing to engage in an inclusive and cooperative way with all the other religions and with everybody seeking out a more meaningful spirituality for the 21st century,” said Murchu in his book titled “Inclusivity: A Gospel Mandate.”
The Php 800 seminar fee includes lunch, snacks, and certificate of attendance.
