Seminar on ‘imitating Mary’ set

MANILA, April 22, 2015 – A whole-day Marian Encounter seminar is set at the University of Santo Tomas Tan Yan Kee Student Center on May 17 and will focus on the theme, “Imitating the Immaculate and Compassionate Heart of Mary”.

According to organizers, the event will underscore the importance of “being one with Mary”, the Mother of all who understands every person’s sentiments, anxieties and longings and who draws the faithful to become like her.

Fr. Orlando Aceron, O.P., acting rector of Colegio de San Juan de Letran; Fr. Richard Magararo, S.M.M., parish priest of Sta. Teresita Parish at West Rembo, Makati City; and Fr. Aloy Alino, parish priest of the Sto. Niño Shrine at Bago Bantay, Quezon City will give topics on “Mary, Cause of our Joy and the Evangelii Gaudium”; “True Devotion to Mary”; and “The Secret of Mary according to St. Louis Marie de Montfort”.

Fr. Arturo Pestin, O.P. will celebrate the Holy Eucharist to end the seminar.

The Missionaries of Mary (M.O.M.), a lay Marian Community, in partnership with Radio Veritas 846 AM is organizing the seminar. Alino is the spiritual director of the said community.
