QUEZON City, September 27, 2014—In a bid to raise funds for its many programs and projects that “uphold the culture of life, Pro-life Philippines has recently launched a t-shirt drive that calls on the Catholic faithful to “stand with the Church”.
“Show your support to the Church that Christ Himself has established. Buy our shirt in support of Pro-Life Philippines and all its projects that uphold the Culture of Life. A little help from you goes a long, long way in ensuring that we will always be around defending life. Stand up with the Catholic Church!” says the group.
The shirt, which is available in extra small, small, medium, large and extra large sizes, comes in dark blue (Php 250.00) and white (P200.00).
The Pro-life Philippines projects that are set to benefit from the said fund-raising include assistance programs for Tacloban fishermen, orphans in Samar and professional counselling for those with crisis pregnancies.
Posting on its official Facebook page Thursday, September 25, Pro-life Philippines stresses it stands with the Catholic Church in doing corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
“The Catholic Church has always played an integral part in society, and Her presence is felt most especially in places where she is really needed. She has soup kitchens and feeding centers for those who are hungry, orphanages and hospitals for orphans and sick people,” it continues.
Pro-Life Philippines shares with pride that in “almost all human endeavor, the Catholic Church has always been there as a Mother and a teacher, guiding every one towards the path of holiness through the light of reason and Her Magisterium.”
“The Church is present in schools, universities, even in prisons. Her members have contributed much to the field of science, art, music, sports, and medicine. She spreads the Gospel in season and out of season. She protects the dignity of all human life from the moment of conception, and defends the sacredness of marriage and the family,” the post adds.
