MAKATI City, June 30, 2014—In an open letter the faithful, Lipa Archbishop Ramón C. Argüelles invites the faithful to take part in a Marian talk he is set to give on July 5.
“As the Church in the Philippines prepares for the fifth centennial of the implantation of the seeds of the Faith in the archipelago in 2021, the more reason ‘Pueblo amante de María’ [People in love with Mary] needs to reflect with those interested in the role of Mary in the evangelization work in Asia,” said Argüelles.
Titled “Witnessing to Christ, like Mary – Living the Confirmation Mandate”, the talk is the fifth in a series of first Saturday Marian conferences that began in March under the general heading “Mary and the Lay faithful: Called to Total Consecration”.
It is scheduled on July 5, Saturday, at the San Carlos Seminary Auditorium, Guadalupe Viejo, Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, Makati City from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Argüelles, who is known for his devotion to and promotion of Lipa’s Mediatrix of All-Grace, shared, “Please be assured of my union in prayers as we heed the urgent call of the Blessed Mother in our difficult times.”
