QUEZON City, Sept. 29, 2014—Jesuit Communications (JesCom), the Society of Jesus’ media and communications arm, involved in the production of audiovisual materials for evangelization and education, releases six new products that includes catechism material, and religious music, among others.

DVD: Faith Exposed Volumes 2 and 3

In 2011, The Word Exposed launched a new segment, entitled “Faith Exposed” which is devoted to presenting the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), from basic to more complicated doctrines.

Hosted by Manila Archbishop Luís Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, Faith Exposed is a must-have reference material for catechists, teachers of religion, parents, and individuals who wish to know more about the Catholic faith.

Volumes 2 and 3 of Faith Exposed are already out and are sold at Php 250.00 each

CD Album: I Am Ever With You by Himig Heswita

The songs in the album “I Am Ever with You” are a mixed bag of genres—as has been the case for all Himig Heswita albums in the past two decades.

The album, which is being sold at Php 250.00, has selections that may be sung at Mass, like those based on the Psalms. Others may be used for personal prayer and reflection, or group worship, retreats, and recollections.

All songs are inspired by themes from Scripture, especially the Gospels.

2015 Jesuit Provincial Calendar: Varones Ilustres: Disciples of the Divine Light

The “Jesuit Provincial Calendar for 2015” pays tribute to St. Ignatius of Loyola and some of his followers who will be introduced to the public for the first time. Some of the saint’s more well-known followers include other canonized saints like St. Francis Xavier, and St. Peter Faber, who pursued the glory of God, the “radiance of the Light Divine”.

Many of those included are yet unknown and will be introduced to the public only for the first time through the calendar. While some are Jesuits, others are not. But all have been touched by St.

Ignatius who saw the world suffused with divine light and who heard the call “Follow me”.

The images are drawn in the tradition of Byzantine iconography. There is no attempt to capture a photo perfect likeness of a person, but rather the inner character of the person or the religious and theological meaning of the person’s life and virtues.

Often the “disciple of light” holds an object, called an attribute, which relates to the person’s life or speaks of his character of virtues.

The calendar sells at Php 150.00 each.

Sacred Space: The Prayer Book 2015

“Sacred Space: The Prayer Book 2015” aims to give busy Christians a kind of daily prayer and meditation that is both well-suited to their “fast-paced life”.
With its daily meditations steeped in the Jesuit tradition, Sacred Space is Scriptural and filled with Ignatian insights.

The Sacred Space prayer book is priced at P350.00 each

Kape’t Pandasal: Isang Dekada

The program, Kape’t Pandasal, is a two-minute reflection and prayer segment aired before ABS-CBN’s morning program.

In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the program since it aired in 2004, JesCom comes out with the Kape’t Pandesal: Isang Dekada DVD, which includes episodes until the tenth year. It sells for Php 100.00
