MANILA, Oct. 27, 2014—In preparation for the upcoming Advent season, a group of Marian devotees is set to host a series of talks on the Blessed Virgin and the special role she played in Jesus’ Incarnation.
Entitled “Walking with Mary in the Advent Season,” the one-day seminar is part of a quarterly formation given by the Missionaries of Mary (MOM).
It is scheduled on Nov. 16, Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Tan Yan Kee Bldg., 5F, Student Center, University of Santo Tomás (UST), España Blvd., Sampaloc, Manila.
Luz Uzabal, one of the event organizers shared her community has been organizing talks on Our Lady for over a decade now.
Topics are as follows:
- “Magnificat of Mary” — Fr. Chito Dimaranan, SDB
- “Nativity of Jesus in Our Time” —Fr. José Antonio Aureada, OP
- “Mary, the Star that Leads Us to Jesus” —Fr. Aloysius Alino (MOM spiritual director)
Holy Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m., right after the talks.
Seminar fee is PhP 150 which includes lunch and snacks.
