MANILA, Oct. 6, 2015 –The person tasked to direct the program of the forthcoming Catholic Social Media Summit version 4.0 (CSMSv4.0) reminded heads and members of teams composing it that everything they do to make the event a success is really for God.

“We are all in this because of God. Let’s give our all to God. Let’s make Him the center of it all,” said CSMSv4.0 program director Alvin Palmiano during a paper run held Sunday at the Areopagus Communications Studio in Quiapo, for the big event on weekend.

He pointed out that just because each one is serving as a volunteer does not mean they should not put in as much effort and love for CSMSv4.0 as when they are expecting something in return.

“For God’s sake, let us all be professional. This is service. There should be no room among us for complacency. We must give CSMS delegates the conference they deserve,” he added.

Majority of CSMSv4.0 heads and members are young professionals who have agreed to take a leave off their various day jobs to help plan and organize the event.

Moreover, Palmiano asked each one to set aside a few minutes daily to pray for the success of the conference.

The fourth installment of the annual gathering of online missionaries is scheduled on Oct. 10 to Oct. 11 at the Sta. Rosa City Hall Building B – Auditorium, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

Themed “Plugged In,” CSMSv4.0 seeks to spread the message of Romans 15:16 that all may be one voice in glorifying God, and the homily of Pope Francis at the Manila Cathedral in January where he urged the creation of circles of integrity and networks of solidarity in society.

Meanwhile, CSMSv4.0 program team head Chrixy Paguirigan stressed in an interview how members of YouthPinoy (YP), the organization behind the event, go out of their way to bring the summit to a whole new level, ensuring everything will be smooth.

This year’s CSMS will have several focuses, among others: gaming, online marketing, crowdsourcing, content management, and mobile technology.

According to her, these focuses have one goal in common: to make each CSMS delegate an effective online evangelizer.

“The best and most awaited part I personally am giddy about is the keynote, ‘Connecting to the Ultimate Power Source,’ to be given no less than by an official of the Vatican Radio, Seàn Lovett,” Paguirigan added. (Raymond A. Sebastián / CBCP News)
