QUEZON City, September 21, 2014—The San Isidro Labrador Parish in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, which is one of the areas in Metro Manila most seriously hit by tropical storm “Mario”, appeals for help as relief supplies for evacuees run out fast.

Based on actual surveys conducted by San Isidro Labrador Parish’s Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) area coordinators, 2, 331 families have been directly affected by the flash flood caused by typhoon “Mario”, international name, “Fung-Wong.”
Three Bagong Silangan residents are confirmed dead due to Mario.
BEC officers are working closely with the Parish Disaster Team, and have also been coordinating with Caritas Novaliches and Caritas Manila, the Catholic Church’s social service arm.
