MANILA, July 17, 2016— Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle of Manila has challenged today’s youth to discover and fulfil their mission and not to lose hope in times of trouble.
He encouraged the young people to dedicate their lives to their faith and the teachings of Jesus.
“Life is not perfect but it doesn’t mean that no one loves you anymore,” Tagle said during a concert for the youth attending the Philippine Conference on New Evangelization at the UST in Manila on Saturday evening.
“Everything will pass except one thing— the love of God,” he said.
The cardinal also called on the young people to “build strong foundations” for their futures by doing deeds of love and mercy and strengthening their faith.
“Stand to your faith because that will be your armor during hard times and when you feel alone,” Cardinal Tagle said.
“God loves us. He is with us and He will never abandon us,” he added.
The cardinal ended his brief talk by singing “I will be here” popularized by Gary Valenciano. (CBCPNews)
