MANILA, Nov. 14, 2013—With the country under a state of national calamity due to the devastation of typhoon ‘Yolanda’, the youth ministry of the Diocese of Antipolo urged young people in their diocese to be God’s instrument in sending His love to fellow Filipinos affected by the calamity.

The Kabataan ng Diyosesis ng Antipolo (KaDA) shared four points on how to help the victims of the recent typhoon: post and pray, fast and save, share and donate, and, join and support.

“Despite the immense damage it has bought upon us, we are still holding on and will use other people as His instruments to bring his presence and love to those who need them most during these times. We are calling all KaDA from parish youth ministries, campus ministries and youth organizations whether parish, school or community based to be one with us,” the group said in a facebook post.

Help #1: Post and Pray—two weeks of refraining from posting ‘selfie’ pictures of self, food, etc. instead, post a picture of sympathy, prayer offerings and solicitation of help.

Help #2: Fast and Save—two weeks of abstinence from eating and or drinking in any fast food chain or restaurant, coffee and milk tea shops, etc.

Help #3: Share and Donate—share any amount or send cash donations during the Holy Mass to be offered by KaDA on November 17 during the Ministry for Youth Affairs 4th Quarterly Meeting at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish in Taytay, Rizal.

Help #4: Join and Support—provide a helping hand in your parish or school initiated relief operations or other related efforts for the benefit of our kababayan’s.

“Small deeds shared together create a big impact to those in need. Because we love our fellowmen, KaDA helps, KaDA cares!,” they furthered. (Jandel Posion)
