MARILAO, Bulacan, Dec. 8, 2016- Registration to the 4th World Apostolic Congress on Mercy (WACOM4) for both foreign and local delegates has been extended until Dec. 16, 2016, following a national meeting of spiritual directors, special assistants/lay coordinators, and the event organizers on Nov. 30.
Local delegates will pay Php7,000.00/head, which is inclusive of the following:
- Day 1 dinner
- Day 2-5 morning & afternoon snacks, lunch & dinner
- Transportation for Day 3-5, and
- Kit (ballpen, notepad, prayer vademecum, ID, t-shirt, certificate, and vest)
A fraternal registration is also open for those who only wish to attend in a selected pilgrim site:
- University of Santo Tomas Manila (Day 2), Php 2000.00;
- National Shrine of Padre Pio in Batangas (Day 3), Php 1,500.00;
- National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Bulacan (Day 4), Php 1,500.00; and
- Diocese of Bataan, Php 1,500.00

According to Monina Tayamen, who heads the Overall Secretariat of WACOM4, “There were already 4,000 local and international delegates who have officially registered” for the first ever WACOM in Asia. With the extension, she said the figure could reach 5,000.
‘Communion in Mercy’
Fr. Patrice Chocholski, WACOM Secretary General, who is in the country to visit the host dioceses, attended the said meeting on Nov. 30 at the Retreat Center of the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy (NSDM). Fr. Prospero Tenorio, Secretary General of WACOM Asia and NSDM rector, was also present at the gathering.
Themed “Communion in Mercy, Mission for Mercy,” WACOM4, happening from Jan. 16 to 20, 2017, will be held in two archdioceses and two dioceses, namely, the Archdioceses of Manila and Lipa, and the Dioceses of Malolos and Balanga. (Carl Jamie Simple S. Bordeos/ CBCP News)
