MANILA, Nov. 27, 2012—After a month of visiting dioceses within the Philippines, the official pilgrim image of St. Pedro Calungsod is now back in his home province, Cebu, for the Triduum Masses in preparation of the National Thanksgiving on November 30.
Sagrado said that thousand of parishioners waited for Calungsod’s arrival in Cebu.
The image was first brought to his shrine at the Archbishop’s Palace with a motorcade at around 9 in the morning.
A motorcade brought the image to the Guadalupe Parish for the first Triduum Mass.
“The Creed”, a catechetical module was launched at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon which will be a module in enhancing Christian Values that will be applied by the catechists.
The 1st Triduum Mass is scheduled at 6 p.m. tonight to be presided by Cebu Auxiliary Bishop Emilio Bataclan.
Sagrado also said that after the mass, a concert titled “Barkadahay ni Pedro” will be held.
Aside from the concert, a stage play on the life of the 2nd Filipino Saint will be shown to parishioners, followed by an overnight vigil from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m.
Tomorrow, November 28, a motorcade is set to turn-over the image from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church to the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral for the 2nd day of the Triduum Mass. (Jandel Posion)
