Besides being the annual assembly of the member schools, it is also a preparation for the CEAP National Convention sometime in September and October of 2015.

In the past, the BACS Meet was an event for the alumni of member schools; an opportunity for students and educators to come together for sports, academic, and cultural events.

Recently, BACS, alongside CEAP, has been actively providing teacher trainings, preparations for K to 12 and assistance to poor schools, typhoon and earthquake-stricken communities.

Quality Catholic education

The association revived the BACS Meet and initiated the BACS Youth Camp. Recent ones have been held in Albay, Masbate, and Sorsogon. BACS also hopes to revive the Dolot ki Ina, a gathering of students during the September festivities of the feast day of Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

Comprising some 50 schools, BACS is composed of the Catholic Educational Associations of the different dioceses and archdiocese in the Bicol region namely: Caceres and Libmanan (CEACAL), Legaspi (CEAL), Virac (CEAV), Sorsogon (CEAS), and Masbate (MACEA). As such it is the regional arm of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).
