MANILA, August 25, 2013— The Amici Trio, a chamber group of violin, piano and voice, is in Manila to headline their first international concert sponsored by Santa Isabel College (SIC) Conservatory of Music.

In cooperation with Sinag Tala, the 8 p.m. concert on August 27 at the SIC’s Santo Cristo Del Tesoro Auditorium is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.

The concert in Manila is Amici’s first international debut after the group was established through “friendship” last May 25, 2013.

The trio is composed of Filipino baritone Joseleo Logdat, pianist Tomoyo Kobayashi and violinist Kazuki Yamamoto, both Japanese, who will perform master pieces of Mozart, Brahms and traditional Japanese pieces.

Kobayashi performed with The Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, held solo recitals, and actively collaborating as accompanist and more. She also had collaborated with renowned pianist Russian Elena Kuschnerova.

Yamamoto is the concert master of the Elizabeth University of Music symphony orchestra since 2011. He studied violin under Yuko Hasegawa, Masaaki Tanokura, Shizuka Ishikawa, and Maya Kai.

Last March, he toured Europe for a series of concerts with one of the orchestras in Japan.

Logdat, meanwhile, is a 2013 Ani ng Dangal Awardee for Music, Grand Prix Winner of the 6th Yokohama International Music Competition 2012, where he also won First Place in the Professional Voice Category, and Grand Prize winner of the “Mga Awiting Pilipino” Vocal Competition in 2007.

At present, he is a scholar in the Master of Music (Voice) program of the Elizabeth University of Music in Hiroshima, Japan, under the tutelage of Hiroharu Orikawa.

Logdat is also associated with Santa Isabel College Conservatory of Music as Faculty for Voice and Music Sciences.
