MALOLOS, Bulacan, Oct. 28, 2015 – On their third day in the country, 19th Asian Liturgy Forum (ALF) delegates visit the Diocese of Malolos on Wednesday, Oct. 28
Malolos’ Commission on Liturgy welcomed representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and China who arrived at the the Parish of Saint James the Apostle in Plaridel, Bulacan at around 2 p.m. today where they witnessed the “Kneeling Carabao Festival” of Pulilan.
From Plaridel, everyone headed to Jorge Allan Tengco’s residence where the delegates and guests explored “Bahay ng mga Poon”, the home of Baliuag’s renowned life-sized images.

They also got to see the “Desposorio Festival” of Hagonoy as well as the diocese’ Holy Week carrozas.
Fr. Francis Cais, SDB led the Vespers with Bishop Anthony Lee, D.D. presiding over the Holy Mass, concelebrated by Ipil Bishop Julius Tonel, D.D. and Malolos Bishop Jose Oliveros, D.D. at St. Augustine Parish Church in Baliuag.
After the Mass, the “Fertility Dance” of Obando as well as dinner and a fireworks display at the Parish Heritage Convento concluded the said Bulacan tour.
‘Liturgy and the Family’
A plenary session, a cultural night, and a farewell dinner for the delegates will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29 at the University of Santo Tomas.
This year’s ALF with the theme “Liturgy and the Family” ends on Friday, Oct. 30.
Established by the Federation of Asian Bishop’s Conference (FABC) in 1996, the ALF aims to provide a forum for Catholics in Asia to discuss liturgical matters unique to each country.
Organizers also hope that through this initiative, the gift of cultural-pastoral diversity would enrich the region through the scholarly studies and sharing. (Myraine Carluen Policarpio / CBCP News)
